Speaking at a Manhattan holiday party thrown by the United Kingdom tabloid the Daily Mail, the 31-year-old star of "Mean Girls" (2004) told "Entertainment Tonight" she was " game for" an original-cast sequel to the movie, which had a TV-movie sequel on ABC Family in 2011. News that she was less informed about the movie-inspired musical. "I'm here in NY, so [the film's screenwriter] Tina Fey better be hiding", she jokingly warned, "or I'm going to find her and [the film's producer] Lorne Michaels".

As far as working in Hollywood films again, the Freaky Friday star said: 'Acting will always be a big part of my future'.

"I love living in NY, but I do love the serenity and peace that I find living in the Middle East because there are no cameras in Dubai and I can actually focus on what I want to do in life", she explained.

Since changing her address, Lindsay has found that she's significantly calmer than she was when she lived in America and London - and the lack of paparazzi in Dubai has a lot to do with it. News that she is wants focus on music again.

But while she is in the states, she plans on getting as much done as she can.

'You can have moments in your life where you don't really know what you want, ' added the icon, 'and there's a way through that'.

She has various projects in the works as well. I want to make it into a series or movie'.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Lindsay admitted she would be keen to reprise her role in a sequel of the 2004 movie, which also starred Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried.

And asked if the cover girl would like to be in Mean Girls the Broadway musical, she shot back: 'I would rather do Mean Girls 2 the Movie'.
