Adult Film Star August Ames Dies Aged 23

Famed porn star August Ames died Tuesday at the age of 23.

The Venture County Medical examiner confirmed the 23-year-old's death, but had yet to issue an official cause.

"She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me", said Kevin Moore, Ames' husband. Our hearts go out to August's friends and family during this extremely hard time.

As the reason of her death Tuesday was unknown at the time, some of Ames' friends reportedly claimed that she might have committed suicide as she was suffering from depression.

The site reported Ames being born Mercedes Grabowski in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1994, and worked in a bar and at a tanning salon before joining the adult film industry in 2013.

In her brief four-year-career, Ames starred in more than 270 films and nabbed a nomination for Best New Starlet at the 2015 AVN Awards.

A Canadian porn star has died unexpectedly, just days after facing a storm of homophobia accusations online.

Ames also tweeted Monday, replying a user who told her to apologize, "I don't have anything to apologize for!" I'm not putting my body at risk, i don't know what they do in their private lives'.

Various tweeters have begun blaming the gay media for her death, even going so far as to imply that she may have committed suicide over the negative media attention following her tweets. F-- you guys attacking me when none of my intentions were malicious. What the f-- ever!

Upon learning of her death, fellow adult entertainers took to social media to express their shock and sorrow. #LAdirect I do my homework for my body'.

She said she was uncomfortable about working with a porn star who had previously appeared in gay adult movies.

Before taking her own life, she was slammed on Twitter for posting about a film shoot which she made a decision to cancel on.

Producer Jules Jordan tweeted: "Rest In Peace to August Ames, one of the best, nicest people I ever knew in the business".
