Jennifer Lawrence Is Scared You're Going to Turn Against Her

Jennifer Lawrence has said she has been afraid of doing anything "sexy or sexual" in her career after her nude photographs were hacked in 2014. "Do you want to?"

"And it's so widespread, the abuse, from so many different people - it's directors, it's producers - that I think everybody needed to [process it]". If I'm on this commission, and (if) I get an email about somebody being treated badly on a set, I can send an email. "And it ends with a martini to the face", she said with a laugh. (Laughter.) I have something to say for all of them.

Though she was vague, Lawrence is charged and determined. "It was frightful. It was really bad", she said.

This could have been fueled in part to the negative fan response she received for her work on "mother!", Darren Aronofsky's allegorical horror film that was a dramatic departure from her previous work. "It is a Lawrence original: "'I definitely shouldn't have done it, but I am at peace with knowing that I couldn't not'". Oh, my God, I've been waiting for this moment.

Lawrence said in 2015 that a Trump presidency would be "the end of the world". She follows in the formidable footsteps of past recipients like Barbra Streisand, Helen Mirren, Shonda Rhimes, Barbara Walters, and naturally, Winfrey herself.

And with regards to her personal life, Lawrence said she's a homebody, but loves her neighborhood. "We'd be able to pass state-by-state legislation to help [stop] corruption in our government", she continued. Because Winfrey broke out the byline to interview her text pal over lunch at Winfrey's Montecito, California home in October.
