An insider said Baldwin will start filming episodes for the series next week in NY. According to Page Six, the 59-year-old actor is in talks to transform his WNYC radio show and podcast - Here's the Thing With Alec Baldwin - into a talk show for ABC.

Here's a new talk show we'll definitely all tune in for.

The project that is now under works is based on Baldwin's WNYC radio/podcast Here's the Thing with Alec Baldwin, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Baldwin is now in the middle of a development deal with ABC and hosts the network's Match Game. Variety reported in August that under the deal, "Baldwin's El Dorado Pictures will develop scripted and unscripted projects under the ABC Studios banner".

He has an Emmy Award for his Trump performance, a book written from the perspective of his Trump character - and now it appears he's getting another shot at a new entertainment project.

Baldwin won his Emmy over stiff competition: "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's" Titus Burgess, "Baskets'" Louis Anderson, "Modern Family's" Ty Burrell and "Veep's" Tony Hale and Matt Walsh.

Since "Here's the Thing" started in 2011, Baldwin has interviewed dozens for people from celebrities to economists.
