Here's Why Lady Gaga Wasn't on the American Music Awards Red Carpet

Pink and Kelly Clarkson performed together for the first time at Sunday's American Music Awards, opening the show with a duet of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts".

Hit K-Pop band, BTS will be making their AMA performance debut, hitting the iconic stage tonight for the first time ever.

On Sunday (November 19), the 2017 American Music Awards red carpet was bursting with colorful ensembles and fashion-forward get-ups worn by Hollywood's brightest stars. She was then joined by Clarkson, looking just as queenly in a gold-stitched black gown befitting of her diva status. Other categories where male acts dominate include tour and video of the year, among others. Julia Michaels is the only woman up for new artist of the year.

The duet was intro'd by Jamie Foxx, who began by saying that "we needed the power of music to help us heal" from so much that happened this year. No woman hit the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 2017 until Taylor Swift and Cardi B did so in September.
