Mahira Khan's film 'Verna' may not release in Pakistan

The wait is over as fans can watch Mahira Khan starrer, Verna, on the big screen as it finally graced cinemas across the country on Friday. This time for her upcoming movie Verna.

Zarar khan, in an exclusive interview revealed that the cast and crew of Verna have heaved a sigh of relief after it is released without any cuts nationwide.

However, the movie has released in the UK, USA and Canada as per schedule. Earlier, the Lahore premiere was cancelled and then the Karachi premiere was called off as well because the film producers hadn't received the censor board certificate.

Mahira Khan's New Flick Verna To Be Banned?

While Shoaib Mansoor's film "Verna" will be releasing in Karachi today at the Cineplex Cinema and other parts of the world including United Kingdom and U.S., it is yet to be decided when it will be released in Punjab.

"The topic is rape, and the culprit is the governor's son".

The news has brought respite to Mahira who was seen relishing the moment of her glory as an artiste on social media.

Earleir, in an official statement provided by a board member at the Islamabad Film and Censor Board, it was said that: "There are many reasons as to why the objections have ascended". Popular Pakistani actors like Ali Zafar, Humaima Malick, Mawra and Urwa Hocane lent support to actress Mahira Khan for the trolling she got.
