This apropos of new reports that not only is the I'm a Celebrity jungle camp populated by papier-mache rocks but also, in perhaps the cruellest twist of all, the waterfall under which numerous camp inhabitants have just so happened to lose so many of their clothes is not really a waterfall at all.

The ten celebrities heading into the Jungle for the new series are: Jennie McAlpine, Dennis Wise, Rebekah Vardy, Jack Maynard, Shappi Khorsandi, Amir Khan, Stanley Johnson, Vanessa White, Jamie Lomas and Georgia "Toff" Toffolo.

Every year, the show breeds 2.5 million meal worms, 250,000 cockroaches, 153,000 crickets, 500 rats, 400 spiders and 30 snakes.

If you clocked the official photos of the campers you might have spotted the rather fetching red socks they've all got on.

Bob, the I'm A Celeb site medic, explained to Woman's Own that his sole responsibility is making sure that the celebs don't get bitten by anything untoward during their stay in the Australian bush.

The celebrities will often pick up unsightly wounds during their time in the jungle, and producers don't want viewers at home seeing blood.

I'm A Celebrity.Get Me Out Of Here is due to make a welcome return to our screens on Sunday, and I don't know about you, but this is right up there with a visit from the Coca-Cola truck when it comes to kicking off the festive season. Bob said yearly a number of animals are bred for the show.

Full voting details for I'm a Celebrity are still to be finalised, but as usual there fans are set to be able to vote via phone and the ITV show app.
