Tracee Ellis Ross To Host The ABC '2017 American Music Awards'

Ross's mother Diana Ross is being honored at the event as the legendary singer will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for making "truly exceptional contributions to the music industry".

Tracee Ellis Ross will host this year's American Music Awards, it was announced Tuesday (Nov. 14).

Speaking about the honour, she said in a statement at the time: "I have endless memories of all the years that I have appeared on the American Music Awards".

Diana who is a seven-time AMA victor and who previously hosted the awards show in 1986 and 1987, is also expected to perform.

Diana Ross will not only be honored but will also take the stage to perform. The Chainsmokers, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd tied with five nominations each, while Justin Bieber, Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi received four nominations each.

The 2017 American Music Awards is produced by dick clark productions, and will take place on November 19, 2017, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan are Executive Producers.
