Rose McGowan turned herself in to Virginian authorities on Tuesday for a warrant issued for alleged felony possession of a controlled substance, The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

She was subsequently released on $5,000 unsecured bond, police officials said. A felony warrant was issued last month for her arrest, and the actress surrendered Tuesday to the Sheriff's Department in Loudoun County, Virginia.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department obtained a warrant for McGowan on February 1, more than a week after items taken from her personal belongings during a January 20 flight tested positive for narcotics.

Information from the Associated Press used in this report.

On October 31 she simply tweeted "FACT" in a retweet suggesting that if she had "taken the million dollars in hush money" from Weinstein, the warrant would not have been a news story. It's said cocaine was found inside a wallet she dropped.

"Are they trying to silence me?" There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia.

"What a load of HORSES-T".

It is not clear when the actress became aware of the warrant.

A spokesperson for Weinstein previously told PEOPLE in a statement, "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein".
