JLRIL commences local manufacturing of SUV F-Pace

Available in the Prestige derivative and powered by 1,999cc, 2L 4-cylinder, 132 kW Turbocharged Ingenium diesel engine, Jaguar F-Pace is the 6th model from Jaguar Land Rover product portfolio to be locally manufactured in India.

Speaking about the commencement of local production, Rohit Suri, managing director and president, Jaguar Land Rover India Limited (JLRIL), said that the production of the Jaguar F-Pace in India represents the company's commitment towards the "Make in India" programme. The latest model is sixth from the auto major that is being made locally. The more powerful F-Pace 30d has been discontinued for now but could be reintroduced at a later stage.

Luxury SUV seekers are in for an affordable catch with the luxurious Jaguar F-Pace launching at a price of Rs.60 lakh.

Bookings are now open and deliveries will begin from November-end 2017, it added.

Speaking on the occasion, Rohit Suri, Managing Director & President, Jaguar Land Rover India (JLRIL), said that since its launch in October previous year, the Jaguar F-Pace has captured hearts and minds of Jaguar fans as well as its distinguished and discerning customers spread across India.

Besides having 10.2-inch touchscreen with 380W Meridian sound system and GPS navigation, some other attractive features of the five-seater SUV are activity key, a Wi-Fi hotspot and LED headlights, climate control system, stability control and rear reclining seats.
