Vikings QB Case Keenum throws TD pass, gets left out of celebration

"Case played outstanding, " said Vikings coach Mike Zimmer.

The Vikings had just beaten Washington 38-30 at FedEx Field. Keenum joined the Vikings after positing 9-7 record in his previous 16 starts, which came on teams with very little in the way of weapons.

Already making eight regular-season appearances as a member of the Redskins thus far into the 2017-18 campaign, Grant has now hauled in 24 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns.

The Minnesota Vikings are elated to see quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in full practice this week. "Sometimes plans change. We'll see how it goes and we'll sit down this week and visit about it and kind of go from there". The Vikings are not holding Keenum back in the passing game. Keenum did participate in that one.

Neither of his interceptions should have happened. "It was a huge first down at the end of the ball game where we kicked a field goal to make it a 10-point game". "You've got to come out here and be consistent".

That's not what anyone around the 4-5 Redskins wants to hear as they hope to keep pace in the crowded NFC wild-card race with a visit to the 7-2 New Orleans Saints on Sunday. With this team, internal drama is as commonplace as ankle tape. Gruden said TE Jordan Reed is day to day after missing the past two games with a hamstring injury.

Things couldn't have started better for Keenum on Sunday.

"That was awesome, " Morgan said. "My spirit just sensed that he was a good man and the spirit never lies". "I mean, there's a couple plays we can go through that could easily be 4-for-4 down there". He's a great dude, a great teammate. And I have to do a better job of getting them ready.

The Vikings do not have an experienced quarterback under contract for next season. They also have Sam Bradford, but he's heading to IR thanks to a bothersome knee issue.

Turnovers are killers. They put the Vikings back in the game in the first half and Washington back in it in the second. "It's very important, " he said. They were 8-12 on third downs (and I would say they stopped Cousins on his quarterback sneak in which he was awarded a touchdown even though his forward progress was stopped) but the team needs to come up bigger in fourth down situations.

Of course they're going to play Bridgewater. Zimmer told us as much in one short, revealing, sentence.
