Jordin Sparks secretly married and she's now expecting her first child

To the surprise and delight of many of her fans, singer Jordin Sparks is married and has a baby on the way.

Sparks told the celebrity news publication that once she met her husband, she knew they were soulmates.

According to People, the American Idol alum secretly Wednesday her boyfriend, Dana Isaiah, back in July.

"We're both really excited", Jordin told People. "He's been like, 'I want to shout it from the mountaintops!' We're really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this".

However, Jordin and Dana's loved ones eventually got on board with their relationship - and watched the pair exchange vows during an intimate ceremony in Hawaii on July 16. They found out in August that they were expecting their first child together. "It's been really insane because everything changes", Sparks admitted.

She explained: 'It was like such a shock for both of us, and then I started bawling in the closet.' Asked if they were happy tears, Jordin quipped: 'Nope, they were shocked, scared and terrified tears! "Nope, they were shocked, scared and terrified tears!"

'I'm going to be completely honest.

Dana, an aspiring model, wanted to pursue a career in LA, and text Jordin so see what the industry is like there. It didn't take long for the two to bond romantically, however.

"This is the best part [of life] so far because I have [Dana] and I have this little one and I have a new family", she added. "I was like, 'I think this is how I'm supposed to feel... no, I know this is how I'm supposed to feel". But they apparently bonded, and, a month after first talking via phone, Isaiah flew to the west coast to meet with his agent and, of course, Sparks, during Easter weekend 2017.

"A couple days after we had actually met, I was like in my head 'That's going to be my husband!" The singer met Sparks' family this past February when she went to Houston for the weekend of the Super Bowl, and Isaiah's mother connected them because he was planning to move to Los Angeles.
