Smartphone buyers who made a decision to buy the latest flagships from Google, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL took to Google Support forums to report a new problem with the camera. Another user by the name "Keandre Espina" pointed out that the reason this issue was not present in the Original Pixel XL is due to its "lower performance in low-light conditions" where the camera blurred out all the flickers present in the image. Most of the bugs in the past had to do with the phone's display, but now there's a new bug which is making the rounds and this one has got to do with Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL camera.

Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 customers have experienced unusual image banding in their photos and videos both taken via front and rear cameras under LED lighting. In any case you can check out the problem for yourself in the video above.

According to Google Forums, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 customers have experienced odd image banding in their photos and videos, taken via front and rear cameras with LED flash. However if you've ever tried to record a video of a monitor or TV, you might have noticed that effect.

There's a dedicated discussion thread regarding this over at the official Pixel forum, and a quick look there reveals the problem has been escalated to the concerned team, presumably the Pixel 2 team at Google. However, there's no official word on whether Google is taking the problem on priority and when it will roll out a fix.
