While fans were happy to see that more of Amy's work was coming to the small screen, many anxious that the deal spelled the end of a possible return to Gilmore Girls with Amazon Video's rival, Netflix.

It's been nearly a full year since Netflix took us back to Stars Hollow with the four-part Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life revival.

During an interview with Radio Times last week, Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino revealed that she's definitely happy to make more stories for the characters from Stars Hollow, as long as Lauren Graham (aka Lorelai) and Alexis Bledel (Rory) are on board.

"You know, I can't say no because I can't so no before and we wound up doing six hours of Gilmore Girls, so that would be nobody is going to take me seriously anymore". That being said it would have to be just right to get all of our favorite characters back together once again.

She added, "During the series everything was so frantic, we had so much work to do and it was just constant; we never really got to rehearse a scene or talk about a scene or talk about stuff or just hang out and shoot the shit".

"So it would just have to be the right circumstances, and that we're all sort of in the same drunken mood together to go repaint Stars Hollow again. But it's definitely possible".

A year on from Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Amy and Daniel have no regrets about bringing back their cult comedy drama.

Whilst speaking to RadioTimes, the writer and director said that Amazon are happy for her to record more episodes if she wants to.

Possible is better than a hard no, so we couldn't be more pleased.
