Ready for a challenge?

Motion Twin, the developer responsible for defining the sub-genre of RogueVania, has announced that its title Dead Cells has entered into the GOG Games in Development program.

Dead Cells arrives on GOG with the launch of the game's The Brutal Update (which is incidentally a GOG exclusive for the next 24 hours), which adds a new boss, new levels, new enemies, and a new tier system among other things.

People who pick up the game on GoG, where it released today and now has a 25% discount, will have access to the new gubbins right off the bat.

The game was already, for me at least, quite hard, but Motion Twin have promised the upcoming, and aptly titled, Brutal Update will dial that difficulty up a little more. Interconnected levels and progressive unlocking of access to the island provide gamers with a real incentive to explore their surroundings.

If all of this has got you pumped for Dead Cells, just keep in mind that it's still in Early Access. Roguelites are about constantly getting better, until what was an insurmountable obstacle becomes a walk in the park. This also means you can help influence the game's bright future, and see the game grow even further in content and scope.
