Cowboys likely without Sean Lee for 2-3 weeks

If he wasn't sore, then adrenaline can really carry a player after a game. Meanwhile, the Eagles have a chance to open up a four-game lead in the NFC East and virtually wrap up the division title before Thanksgiving.

Offensively, the Eagles are averaging 31.4 points and 377.0 total yards (240.2 in passing and 136.8 in rushing) per game.

As a rookie past year, he was sacked more than three times once. "I've had games similar to that". No other quarterback even has 20 passing touchdowns through 10 weeks, and Wentz leads the league with 23 scores. Some people feel that the Bye Week came at a wrong time for the Eagles since they were red hot and had shown they are the best team in football. The Cowboys also were without left tackle Tyron Smith due to injury, and Dak Prescott was sacked eight times.

Here are other concerns I can't shake off...

Dallas enters play at 5-3 on the year and very much in the mix for a wild card berth in the NFC. "We're 8-1 and we've got a target on our back".

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Prescott was blitzed on 12 percent of his dropbacks, the lowest blitz rate he has seen in his career. The two were together often as they went through the rehab process. His replacement, Chaz Green, was responsible for four sacks. However, they still have two meetings with their arch rival left on the slate. "Just getting back into football shape as fast as possible", Darby said. I've got some shoes to fill in coming out there with them. It was a team loss.

Now, the Eagles go on the road for the first time in over a month, facing a Cowboys' team that isn't close to being at full strength.

"If that's what they ask of me, yeah", Darby said, following Monday's practice.

If Smith isn't back against the Eagles next Sunday, it could be a long night in Dallas.

It's the result of having an elite offensive line and the leading MVP candidate at quarterback. In the receiving end, Jason Witten posted 59 yards in seven receptions while Dez Bryant added 39 yards in four catches.

For all the pressure the Eagles have generated, they rank just 18th in sacks per pass attempt and 13th in yards per pass against them. Cowboys fans better hope they can fix that problem, because it looks like they'll be without him for the next few games. Things could get real uncomfortable for the Johnson family.

While the bodies of Darby and Ertz were given what they needed during the off week, so was the mind of defensive tackle Tim Jernigan. The Cowboys won't have Elliott and likely won't have him again until December 24 against the Seattle Seahawks. "I'm just happy to be back but I wanted to be out there every week", Darby said. "But candidly we've got a lot to work on".
