Branden Grace won the European Tour's Nedbank Challenge in South Africa by one stroke over Scott Jamieson thanks to a scintillating final-round 66 on Sunday.

"This is awesome", he said.

Louis Oosthuizen stays the top-ranked South African in the rankings at number 22, moving up one place following his share of eighth at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. It's Africa's Major for a reason and what a special place it is.

Incredible ball-striking was the key to Grace's win, as he hit every green in regulation in his bogey-free final round, which included six birdies. He continued, "It was great to finish the way I did and bogey-free it was and it was great to be able to pull it off".

Grace picked up three shots on the front nine with birdies on the 2nd, 5th and 6th holes, and the gap closed further when Jamieson double-bogeyed the 8th hole to hand the lead to their other playing partner Victor Dubuisson.

'It's a very special week, we found out on Wednesday we're having a boy.

The trio shared the lead with four holes to play but Grace took the lead by making a 40-footer for a birdie two at the 16th to get to 11 under par and held on for a one-shot victory over Jamieson. He wouldn't make the same mistake at the next, though.

Minutes before Grace made his crucial birdie putt, Jamieson almost chipped in for birdie from the right greenside rough, with his ball lipping the hole.
