Derek Carr's teammates allowed him to be injured, according to Miko Grimes, the wife of Buccaneers cornerback Brent Grimes.

"(Carr) was against (the offensive line) protesting", Grimes said, "and they had a fight in the locker room before that Monday night game with the Redskins".

"(Carr) was against (the offensive line) protesting.

Below are some of Oakland's reactions to Grimes' hot take artistry.

The Oakland Raiders have arguably become more known for their national anthem protests than their on-field performance so far this season.

She says Carr was a bible thumper and at odds with his teammates over the matter.

Before that game, a majority of Raiders players, including the entire offensive line, declined to stand during the anthem. And they were like 'No, no, no, that's you.' And so he was so upset about when the whole offensive line said they were going to kneel, he was like 'No, no, no. You're going to stand for the flag.' And they got in a fight in the locker room.

Carr was sidelined for a week following injuries sustained during the game.

Carr's injury, however, occurred one week later, against the Broncos. You're not kneeling. No, this is America.

The game Grimes seems to refer to was the Raiders' Sept. 24 matchup at the Washington Redskins.

By the way, here is the play in which Carr was injured.

Just last week, statements leaked from a conference call where Papa John's owner, John Schnatter claimed National Football League players taking a knee during during the anthem and the lack of damage control from the National Football League commissioner has hurt business for his pizza franchise. Carr, who suffered a back injury in Week 4 and missed one game, was allegedly left out to dry by his offensive linemen after an argument regarding players kneeling during the national anthem.

"It's insane how people will make up lies and tell a story so false and untrue 2 get them some attention I hope it was worth it all lies", he tweeted.
