They are all being charged as adults in Genesee County.

The sheriff says five teens, between 15 and 17 years old, are now facing second-degree murder charges.

Police took several teenagers into custody Friday for questioning in the death of Kenneth Andrew White, 32, of Mount Morris, who was driving home from his construction job when the incident happened, local news outlets reported. Leyton said the teens acted knowing that death would be the likely result of their actions.

The following individuals have been charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder: Kyle Anger, Alexander Miller, Mark Sekelsky, Mikadyn Payne and Trevor Gray. The van was travelling south on I-75 at about 70 miles per hour when it approached the Dodge Road overpass, where the concrete fell on the vehicle from the overpass.

"It's not a prank, it's second-degree murder", said Pickell. At least four damaged vehicles were on the shoulder in Vienna Township.

White suffered fractures to his skull and face. The driver saw a large rock coming at the van and said the rock entered the passenger side through the windshield, Pickell said.

Leyton said White died from blunt force trauma to the head and chest.

A father on his way home from work died when he was struck by a rock allegedly thrown over a MI overpass by a group of teens.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned Tuesday, Oct. 24 in Genesee District Court. The teenagers who allegedly threw rock are from a MI overpass.

Visitation will be held at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday, October 23 from 5 9 p.m. Cremation will follow, according to White's obituary.

A GoFundMe account created to help the family with memorial expenses will now instead be put toward an education fund for White's young son.
