Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has reportedly turned down the offer made to him by a bookmaker during the second one-day global (ODI) against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi, and immediately reported to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) anti-corruption unit (ACU).

A member of worldwide fixing racket approached Ahmad in guise of a fan when the skipper was shopping with his family in a mall in Dubai and extended an offer for spot-fixing.

According to sources, the Pakistani captain told Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials about the offer.

Now, media reports suggest that the important player was Sarfraz Ahmad, who had turned down the offer. He also reported it to PCB Anti Corruption Unit and security head, Colonel Azam in Lahore.

PCB, however, said it can not confirm the incident as yet.

The board, following the incident, tightened security measures for the team and issued fresh instructions to the squad to stay away from irrelevant people.

PCB ACU was always on their guard on this tour being already aware that two of Pakistan's players would be approached, however, the captain was a target and casually approached by someone, she added.

Pakistan's Hasan Ali is best one-day bowler after showing his dominance against the visitor nation batsmen in trouble in the ongoing series in the UAE, with a young career record surpassing even legendary fellow countryman Waqar Younis and with his own unique way of "bomb explosion" wicket celebration which is just as eye-catching for his fan. Starting from the South Africa ODI in Birmingham in the ICC Champions Trophy, Hasan's figures till the match in Sharjah against Pakistan have been 3/24,3/43,3/35,3/19,3/36,1/32,5/34 and 3/37.
