According to Billboard magazine, Swift selected some of her fans to join her at her mansion in Westerly, Rhode Island to get a first listen of her new album "Reputation", which is set to come out next month.

Despite all the talk of the "Old Taylor" being dead on "Look What You Made Me Do", it's possible that Swift included a younger version of herself at the beginning of "Gorgeous".

Taylor Swift's new single "Gorgeous" has everyone speculating about who she's singing about. It could be the direct sequel to "You Belong With Me", the song that most exemplifies Taylor's old stance of being the dark horse in her obviously charmed life. The song dropped at midnight, which means that fans on Twitter are spending their morning trying to dissect the lyrics. "I got a boyfriend, he's older than us / He's in the club doing I don't know what / You're so cool it makes me hate you so much", she sings, later adding: 'You make me so happy it turns back to sad / There's nothing I hate more than what I can't have'. This particular song is about.well.I'll let Taylor's chorus do the explaining.

Swiftian writing tics remain: the obsession with eyes ("ocean blue"), the emotional roller coasters (she traverses furious, hateful, jealous, happy, and sad in less than four minutes), the smattering of detail that sends fans on scavenger hunts (where on Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street in Swift referencing?), the self-aware humor ("Guess I'll just stumble on home to my cats"). It's the second promotional single to be released from her sixth studio album "Reputation", after '.Ready for It?', and third overall including her number one lead single "Look What You Made Me Do".
