Or, it could be an altogether new smartphone, with a teaser on a Tmall confirming the same date and pointing to the number "7", or Qi in Chinese. Also, the TMall features a GIF that teases an upcoming phone with bothie features. All the three options are said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC and. Unfortunately, there's no telling what device HMD will reveal on October 18.

It is also reported that the Finnish company could unveil a new variant of the Nokia 8 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Nokia 7 would be available with 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage memory, another variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB Storage memory, and the last variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which would be a high end variant of the phone. In terms of camera, it may mount a dual 22MP main camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a 12MP front-snapper, or a dual 13MP+13MP camera with Zeiss Optics on the back and a 13MP front- snapper.

The hype for Nokia has been going on for months now and HMD is pretty much riding into it by making sure everyone has a Nokia handset inside their pockets. However, we suggests you to take this with a grain of salt as it may just be a launch of another Nokia 8 variant for the Chinese market. The same model was recently launched in Finland and gradually available in various countries.
