Country star Jason Aldean resumes tour after Vegas shooting

The singer was onstage October 1 when a gunman sprayed bullets into the crowd at the outdoor Route 91 Harvest festival, killing 58 people and leaving almost 500 injured.

On Sunday, Aldean returned to Las Vegas exactly one week after the shooting with his pregnant wife Brittany to visit with hospitalized survivors of the shooting.

Aldean canceled three shows last week out of respect for the victims of the October 1 shooting.

Now Guay and Freund are in Tulsa to see Aldean again.

Fans agreed. They pumped their fists and held up American flags as Aldean continued.

"As a result of what happened in Las Vegas this week, we have chose to cancel this coming weekend's shows", Aldean said in a statement last week.

Aldean is resuming his national tour after cancelling several shows in Los Angeles, San Diego and Anaheim, out of respect for the victims of the mass shooting.

Petty died the day after the shooting in Los Angeles after suffering cardiac arrest.

"I want this not to be something that's going to be a downer for the rest of the night", Aldean, 40, told the audience as seen in video captured at the show.

Authorities have said Stephen Paddock targeted the country music festival, opening fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel before killing himself.
