We first heard about Razer making a smartphone back in July, but since then, the rumor mill has quieted down a bit. Razer bought out Ouya 2015 and acquired Nextbit, the gaming hardware company, early this year. "With the talent that Nextbit brings to Razer, we look forward to unleashing more disruption and growing our business in new areas".

Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan also confirmed the device in an interview with CNBC back in September.

As far as features go, we will probably be expecting front firing speakers at the very least, along with longer than usual battery life and Razer's own gaming services pre-installed onto the device. "And I can say that we are coming up with a mobile device specifically geared toward gamers and entertainment".

Razer is more known for its computing products that cater to gamers. We don't have any idea of the specs it will include, what will it will be called or whether it'll look similar to the Nextbit Robin. The tweet has the following tagline: "Watch for our biggest unveiling.", followed by a link to a placeholder page that will presumably host the event's livestream next month.
