OPPO F5 with full screen display and intelligent selfie cam in tow

Images of the upcoming Oppo F5 have also been leaked online a few days ago.

The OPPO F5 has finally been teased by the Chinese manufacturer after a bunch of speculations about it making a full screen display smartphone. The smartphone, as rumoured will be bezel-free.

Namely, we're told the "latest edition" of OPPO's "Selfie Expert series" will head for India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam soon, presumably shortly after regional announcements towards the end of the month.

As per rumours, Oppo F5 is said to resemble the Galaxy S8 and will have some bezels. While on the left will be the volume buttons.

It appears the OPPO F5 will use "artificial intelligence to recognize skin tone and type, the gender and age of all subjects within an image and analyze environment lighting conditions by referencing other facial images from a massive global photo database, to beautify a selfie shot". In the camera department the smartphone is expected to come with a single camera setup at the back and also front. Beauty Recognition technology that's baked into the handset.

The invites come with a tagline "Capture the real you" and it shows a silhouette of a bezel-less smartphone, which could be none other than Oppo F5. According to the teaser, the F5 will come with an AI-powered selfie camera to take the beautification technology to the next level, but how the phone will be wired to take advantage of this powerful technology is still unknown.

Aside from launch-related info, Oppo also confirmed that the F5 is the company's first phone with full-screen FHD+ display (2160 x 1080 pixels). The smartphone is expected to launch in two variants. It will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset which will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
