Yusuf Pathan wouldn't have asked for a better start to Ranji Trophy 2017-18 campaign with Baroda, as the hard-hitter hammered back-to-back centuries in the first match itself against Madhya Pradesh recently. He scored 111 runs from 125 balls in the first innings with the help of 13 fours and 6 sixes. The Pathan brothers represent Baroda in the domestic tournament of India. The brotherhood between is a known fact and it is no surprise that Irfan is celebrating the century from Yusuf and has shared it on the social media. The match between Baroda and Madhya Pradesh wasn't telecasted live as the official broadcaster made a decision to air the other two games in progress at the same time.

Yusuf and Irfan were also involved in a crucial partnership of 188 for the fifth wicket, after MP had reduced Baroda to 54/4 at one stage.

The younger Pathan dropped his bat on the ground in joy and pumped his fists in the air, while Yusuf took off his helmet only after umpire signalled it was a six. Irfan too played well and scored 80 runs from 130 balls featuring 10 fours and 3 sixes. Though Baroda still had to follow on and lost the match by eight wickets in the end, Irfan's celebration upon Yusuf reaching a century went viral. He tweeted, "That's how the big man @iamyusufpathan got to his 100 #pureemotion #sheerjoy #love". But Yusuf kept his head high and smashed another ton along with Atit Sheth who batted excellently for his century as well.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh capitalised on some brilliant batting by Shubham Sharma and Ankit Sharma to post a massive score of 551/8 (d) in first innings.
