Two days back the Sasikala's plea was rejected on the technical grounds, saying that the required paperwork was not done properly. With more details and supporting documents, she was asked to resubmit another application.

As per the jail manual, a surety amount of Rs 1000 has been furnished with Rajya Sabha MP Navaneethakrishnan giving surety.

Sasikala's Lawyer said, the Chennai police commissioner agreeing for parole to Sasikala with certain conditions had sent an e-mail to Bengaluru jail authorities. If in any case, Sasikala does not adhere to any of the above guidelines, will bar her from seeking parole in the future. She is not permitted to involve in any political activity and she can't give any statements to the media.

M Natarajan, Sasikala's husband has undergone a successful dual organ transplant in Chennai's Gleneagles Global Health City. He is reportedly recovering following the transplantation.

Natarajan has been receiving treatment for the past nine months for liver failure.

The organs came from Karthik N, 19, a daily wage earner admitted to a government hospital in Thanjavur with severe head injuries. He had been on the waitlist for a transplant since April.

Her critics are alleging that Sasikala is desperate to get out to strengthen her nephews faction in the party against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam. Sasikala will visit Chennai on Friday to meet her husband who underwent surgery on Thursday, according to The Times of India.
