Shayla allegedly told her mother that her father spanked her so hard that it was painful to sit. At the time, Tyrese aired his feelings out on Instagram directed at his former wife, saying "All I wanna do is co/parent nothing else".

Strong words to be sure, but now it seems that the investigation into Tyrese's actions have been beefed up as well.

Tyrese Gibson is reportedly being investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) after his ex-wife claimed he abused their 10-year-old daughter.

Norma was granted a temporary restraining order against Tyrese in September. She is also asking for full physical and legal custody because she is anxious that Tyrese will take their child to Dubai where he has business ties.

However, it is not uncommon for DCFS to open an investigation after any accusation is made as a precautionary measure, according to the gossip site. "He's a good guy and I will prove that", said lawyer Terry Levich Ross. The paper states Gibson has "business ties" in the country, and she's afraid he won't come back.

Tyrese's lawyer insists his client's ex is bitter because he recently remarried.

According to the ex-wife of the Fast and The Furious star, Tyrese accused the young girl of "stealing her own money" from a piggy-bank that belonged to her.

Meanwhile Tyrese's attorney accuses Norma of "making up stories about beatings and abuse.' while sources claim he is planning to 'vigorously fight" his ex on all allegations.

In a social media post shortly after the wedding the star revealed he'd hoped to keep the big news a secret. We appreciate all of the prayers and well wishes. "Praying for you everyday angel", he continued. I got #MyBlackQueen I didn't just marry her I married my daughters new example.
