iOS 11 provides immersive augmented reality functionality to iPhones and iPads, as well as a redesigned App Store, enhanced Siri, a Do Not Disturb feature for drivers, and the ability to share playlists in Apple Music.

iOS 11.0.2 release notes say that it "fixes an issue where crackling sounds may occur during calls for a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices".

Beyond the most recent update, iOS 11 adds a revamped Control Center with customizable shortcuts and a new Lock screen that's been merged with the Notification Center. That was an already known bug on the new iPhone 8 devices, and one that Apple promised to fix a week ago.

Apps have also bit the dust in this latest software version, as numerous core applications found on an iPhone are now experiencing functionality problems.

That's no longer the case with the iPhone 8; it's been whittled down to a much more limited range of only three colours.

'Strange thing is this noise happens randomly, roughly 1 in 3 calls.

However, this is not the first time the iPhone 8 has had problems with its batteries.

The thread has dozens of replies from users who experienced the same issue. Of course, this is a rough generalization and the results will vary for each device, but the stats show that there is a real problem that is yet to be fixed by Apple.

Some users have also reported a bug where their phone network is shown in Chinese characters - even if it's a United Kingdom or USA network. The iOS 11.0.1 patch was welcomed by Apple users as it seemed to stabilize the latest iteration of the Apple operating system. Users are saying that apps crash constantly and are unreliable.

'Safari, Reddit, ESPN, Yahoo, texts, etc all have a awful time opening. The entire process will not take more than a few minutes.
