That gesture drew Trump's approval.

Trump's claim about NFL TV ratings is inaccurate, according to a league announcement Tuesday morning.

Around 9 a.m. ET, Trump tweeted: "The NFL has all sorts of rules and regulations".

But conservatives and Trump blame the anthem protests. You can not have people disrespecting our national anthem, our flag, our country.

Trump has spent the last four days railing against NFL players for protesting by kneeling during the national anthem.

On Monday night, Jones - a Trump supporter - and his players knelt arm-in-arm before the anthem, then rose for the playing of the anthem before the team's victory at the Arizona Cardinals.

I'm not in the protesting business, I'm not into this, whatever Trump wanna say. After the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry told reporters he didn't want to go to the White House for political reasons, Trump said he rescinded his invitation. Trump wrote on Twitter.

But, NBC Sports told TIME Sunday night's ratings were down about 10% from last week.

He tweeted,"The booing at the NFL football game last night, when the entire Dallas team dropped to its knees, what the loudest I ever heard". Before Sunday's games, the poll found that 47 percent of Californians supported the protests, with 38 percent opposing.

Early ratings from Sunday, which are incomplete and subject to change, showed that games on CBS were up compared to the same week past year, while games on Fox and NBC were down.

The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook.

POTUS had begun his rambling presser by taking a moment "to send America's hearts and prayers to the people of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands". Some polls, however, found that the protests during the national anthem were a primary factor in declining viewership.

Now, an American Legion Post in western MA is protesting the NFL. This included 61 percent of National Football League fans who watch at least a few games per season.

Kaepernick's protest is about police brutality and racial injustice.
