Kim Kardashian and Kanye West feared they had lost their daughter North in a miscarriage after their doctor struggled to find a heartbeat during an early pregnancy check-up.

But despite these initial complications, doctors eventually found a heartbeat, and her firstborn North arrived in 2013 with no complications. The next morning however, she went back to the doctor, who discovered that North did indeed have a heart beat. "And I think I had to go through that to figure out what I wanted".

"It was around Thanksgiving and it was the worst Thanksgiving ever".

However, shortly afterwards she learned there was a heartbeat - and the mum-to-be was over the moon with the incredible news. 'It causes your body and face to swell, and that was very uncomfortable for me, ' she wrote on her website before Saint was born. Kim also struggled through the same condition while she was pregnant with her son Saint, who was born in December, 2015. "I had early-onset preeclampsia and I had to deliver at 34 weeks, nearly six weeks early". Unaired footage shows that the 36-year-old suffered from "debilitating" stomach pain all throughout her pregnancy, as reported by Refinery 29.
