Earlier this month, the former glamour model revealed her 64-year-old mother, Amy, had been diagnosed with the lung condition, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and was told she has only three to five years to live.

During one of her shows in Stevenage Katie said: "We're talking about me giving her one of my lungs".

A lung transplant is accepted within patients who have a life expectancy of two to three years.

'I'm not going to peg off until she's settled, ' she told the show's panellists, whom Katie herself joined the ranks of in 2016.

Katie has had a tough few weeks, after she announced she was divorcing husband Kieran, following claims he had cheated on her.

In just the past seven days, Katie has described ex-husband Peter Andre as "the love of her life", discussed her ex-lovers' skills in the bedroom - and opened up even more about Kieran's year-long affair with nanny Nikki Brown.

It won't be Katie's first time under the knife though previously this has been for cosmetic reasons.

After shocking fans by returning to her natural 32B cup size in 2015, Katie shot back up to a whopping 32GG a year ago, following an operation in Belgium. "That's what I like about her, her sense of humour".

'I've started the course and I'm 5 years on from being qualified.

'I like helping people. Addressing the businesswoman directly, she added: "I think, 'My God, it's actually about time now you actually got yourself together properly and took life more seriously and like, be settled, because you're getting older'".

'They always say be sensible but you get used to them being that big and then they shrink'.

Katie and Kieran split earlier this month.

"During the tests, which were really quite personal, Katie was making so many amusing comments that both myself and the specialist were in fits of laughter", she said to The Sunday Mirror.

'I'm training to be a paramedic, ' she told Heat magazine.
