Micromax launches camera-centric 'Selfie 3' at Rs 11999

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM.

According to one report, the company claims that the whole idea behind the selfie flash was to ensure that consumers don't capture unnatural images that are commonly found in phones with regular flash. The key highlights of the smartphone are its 16-megapixel selfie camera, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, 5-inch Full-HD display, a heavy-duty 3,000mAh battery, and soft selfie-flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions. This is the ideal time to launch the Selfie-3, just at the kick-start of the festive season, to add to the fervour among younger consumers.

Indian smartphone maker Micromax has released a new Android smartphone - Micromax Selfie 3 - in the country. The smartphone also offers the standard fingerprint scanner, which can unlock the smartphone in just 0.2 seconds. The rear camera is a 13-megapixel snapper with Sony sensors.

In terms of key features, the Micromax Selfie 3 houses camera sensors made by Samsung and Sony in selfie camera and rear camera, respectively. Additionally, the camera supports auto scene detection, portrait mode, HDR mode and night mode. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash memory that can be expanded via a microSD card slot. Micromax Selfie 3 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The device has connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and Global Positioning System. The phone comes bearing black and Blue color options. Micromax also recently launched the Micromax Evok Dual Note with dual cameras.
