It's not a "music festival", although, for the 2017 edition, everyone from Nine Inch Nails to Tyler, The Creator to St Vincent to Solange to Thom Yorke to James Blake will descend upon Houston.

Check out the Day For Night lineup poster below, and get passes to the event here.

Following the hype and rave reviews of last year's program, which featured Björk, Squarepusher and Aphex Twin's first live U.S. performance in eight years, the performances that are slated to take place during Day For Night's third edition have already started to attract a great deal of buzz.

The first day of the festival will see a summit with talks by Chelsea Manning, Laurie Anderson, Pussy Riot's Nadya Tolokonnikova, and Los Angeles-based artist Lauren McCarthy. Fans will be excited to know that a full lineup of the weekend festival has been released and it's chalk full of both newbies and legends of the music world. Cardi B will also feature, as well as Jamie xx, Sky Ferreira, Of Montreal, and Phantogram. Special performances by angelic souls such as Solange and Earl Sweatshirt will cap off the Friday summit.

Not only does the Houston festival have a crowd pleasing list of music performances, it also has a visual art component that will feature 18 art installations and performances including ones by Ryoki Ikeda, Matthew Schreiber, Radio Soulwax, and more. This dynamic lineup represents just the beginning of an aggressive three to five year plan to grow Day for Night into a multi venue five-day citywide event. See the lineup below to see what we mean.

A portion of the proceeds from Day for Night will be donated to the Greater Houston Community Foundation for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. General admission tickets are for December 16 and December 17, providing Day for Night attendees two-day total access to all art installations and musical performances across four stages. There are VIP tickets available again this year and promises fans rapid entry, premium viewing areas, VIP lounges, free drinks and snacks, an onsite concierge and swag bags.
