New Square Enix IP Left Alive coming to PlayStation 4 in 2018

After a bunch of old trailers in a weak pre-TGS press conference, a trailer popped up showing a hallway reminiscent of The Shining.

A odd new game was announced by Square Enix at Sony's TGS presser - it's called Left Alive and judging by the teaser released, it seems to take place in a post-apocalyptic setting with huge mechs.

We can see what appears to be giant mechs flying through the sky in the latter part of the trailer above, which certainly seems to fit with Shinkawa's past work. There are some noteworthy names working on this new IP.

Few other details were revealed, but Square Enix hinted at more information coming this week during the Tokyo Game Show.

The game is being directed by Toshifumi Nabeshima, who's previously worked on the Armoured Core series and the excellent Chromehounds at FromSoftware. However if Left Alive manages to avoid that pitfall, I would be very interested in checking it out and hopefully it comes stateside sometime next year.
