We're not too sure how this is going to play out moving forward. Despite missing game-tying or winning kicks in consecutive weeks, the Chargers will not bring in any competition.

"We talked about that a little bit in our team meeting", Lynn said Monday. But in the end, they just held their noses as they started 0-2 in Los Angeles.

"Koo's our kicker", Lynn said Monday.

Because Timmons' absence popped up so late in the week, the Dolphins had just four linebackers dressed for the Chargers game. Jay Gruden's Redskins beat his former offensive co-ordinator Sean McVay's Rams; Ron Rivera's Carolina Panthers edged his former defensive co-ordinator Sean McDermott's Buffalo Bills 9-3; Andy Reid's Kansas City Chiefs got past his former offensive co-ordinator Doug Pederson's Philadelphia Eagles 27-20.

After struggling to move the football early against the Miami Dolphins, the Chargers finally turned to the no-huddle offense in the second half.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Corey Coleman broke his right hand during Sunday's loss in Baltimore and is having surgery. We have 16 straight [games]. The offense had trouble running the ball.

Watching all those Dolphins games as a kid, it's hard to imagine that Parkey didn't picture himself on that field helping his favorite team to victory. "We're hoping he'll bounce back".

It's a team looking to rebound after two losses that could have easily had a different outcome. We lost a couple of close games.

"I walked on the field and [Rizzi] kind of knew to let me do my routine and I think that's the best way to do it", Parkey said.

"He's a guy who set the standard", Gates said of Gonzalez.
