Bryce Petty is Jets' No. 2 QB against Raiders

Christian Hackenberg is back in street clothes.

Coach Todd Bowles said Bryce Petty will be the Jets' No. 2 quarterback "for the foreseeable future".

Now that Petty's sprained knee has healed, he is the understudy behind Josh McCown.

The Jets will only have two quarterbacks active as they did a week ago, as Hackenberg will not suit up against the Raiders. Now that he is healthy, Hackenberg is back to being third on the depth chart.

So what does this mean for Hackenberg going forward this season? Petty clearly outplayed him in the preseason, though, so the move is justified.

It is also worth noting that Jeremy Kerley is active and ready to go for the Jets.

The other inactives: center Jonotthan Harrison, tight ends Eric Tomlinson and Jordan Leggett, linebacker Bruce Carter, cornerback Derrick Jones and safety Rontez Miles.
