Nintendo has announced the official release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the game is coming out later this year exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console. But there's good reason to believe the game will make its release, as the previous two games in the series also released in December.

I've gotta say, I like the look of this more and more.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Releasing This December
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is out December 1st, and there's a lengthy new trailer to celebrate that fact

The first Xenoblade Chronicles came out for the Wii in 2010 and the New Nintendo 3DS in 2015. Hopefully this can live up to fan hype, because an epic RPG like this on the go would be great. Will this all-new game reach the same heights?

During this evening's Direct presentation, Xenoblade Chronicle 2's case wasn't helped by an in-depth presentation in which a posh man said some stuff and managed to make the quite brilliant looking Xenoblade Chronicles 2 look quite tiresome. The pro controller, meanwhile, is styled in the boring maroon and green X of plot-critical character Pyra, with the design of Rex's sword on the right side.
