Tyrese Gibson pleads with Dwayne Johnson to ditch 'Fast & Furious' spin-off

While most of us typically stand clear of constructive criticism of our co-workers on social media, some of the movie stars of Fast and Furious like to take jabs at one another on the very public photo platform Instagram.

"If you move forward with that Hobbs Movie you will have purposely ignored the heart to heart moment we had in my sprinter". Taking to his co-star's comment section, Gibson-who has played Roman Pearce in five of the Furious films-made it clear that there was trouble in paradise. I'm on your timeline cause you're not responding to my texts messages. "We don't fly solo". "Sometimes you get married and have kids and things just don't work out, but I have NEVER wished harm on you..."

Apparently, Gibson is anxious that a Hobbs movie would delay production on Fast 9, which is now slated to arrive April 19, 2019.

Like all families, the Fast And Furious cast fight amongst themselves.

He then walked back on his comments with a long post saying that his frustration was because The Rock wasn't returning his calls about the solo Hobbs movie. Didn't you see how HUGE [The Fate of the Furious] was? Tyrese's concern is apparently that The Rock might sign a deal for a "Fast" spinoff following Hobbs, potentially delaying the scheduled release date for "Fast 9". The content of his post comes across as at least slightly hypocritical, with his statement about how he "never" goes public with private matters sounding hollow and kind of disingenuous. Everyone matters. When we shoot we all eat, we we show up as a FAMILY display our love, our amusing stuff, our storylines and HEARTS in every frame. The 'grams have since been deleted, so presumably the Rock finally picked up the phone and reassured Gibson about Fast 9 and its April 19, 2019 release date.

Gibson's rants come amid rumours that major issues plagued the Fast and Furious 8 set.

"This is not a #Rant I'm no Rock #Hater and I don't want his #Life I love my own". "Once you go back I will delete every post.I'm doing this for the #FastFamily I'm loyal and I apologize for being loyal but damnit I am".

Johnson took aim at some of his male co-stars, refusing to name names, but calling them "candy asses" who weren't acting professionally.
