Terrorism emanating from Pak reason for current Kashmir situation

He said hostile actions from Pakistan should not stop India from resuming dialogue with that country as dialogue with Pakistan is the mother of resolution of all conflicts in Jammu and Kashmir.

He also slammed Pakistan for ceasefire violations.

"I think I must plead with the people of Jammu and Kashmir to remain steadfast when the system wants to respond to the aspirations of certain sections of society including the refugees", he said. He said: "For the last four days I have been visiting J&K".

Similarly that terrorism being extreme violation of human rights and should be so acknowledged by the International Community, the representative said, "India is dealing with a state (Pakistan) that regards the use of terrorism as a legitimate instrument of statecraft". Their contribution in protecting the borders of the country is vast.

The union minister also said that Pakistan was not interested in mending relations with India. "NIA is an independent, autonomous organization and they are acting according to the law of the land". Speaking on the presence of Rohingya refugees in Jammu, Singh said the Rohingya refugees living in Jammu city are illegal migrants.

To a question on deportation of foreigners from Jammu and Kashmir, he said, "we are discussing the issue of illegal migrants and some action will be taken".

Earlier in the day, talking about Article 35A, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had said that the government will never take any step, which will hurt the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Article 35A of the Indian Constitution is an article that empowers the Jammu and Kashmir state's legislature to define "permanent residents" of the state and provide special rights and privileges to those permanent residents, while article 370 gives special status to the state of J&K in the Indian Union. Seth added also said that the present situation in Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir due to cross border terror from Pakistan. Earlier in the day, the NC, BJP, Panthers Party and some other delegations met the Minister here.
