Building on the momentum of its Thursday Night Football NFL package this Fall, Amazon Prime announced a new foray into the sports world with plans for an exclusive-access documentary series of the MI football season.

Harbaugh had the following to say about the upcoming series which will focus on his team.

"We think documenting this season will reveal that our university and football program are unique environments that equip our student-athletes for success in both academics and athletics", said Warde Manuel, U-M's Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics, per the release. "We welcome judgment! We embrace this opportunity to showcase our 2017 University of MI football team to a vast audience around the world".

"This represents a tremendous opportunity for BTN's award-winning original programming team to work with an entity like Amazon, as well as explore alternative distribution models for Big Ten content in the future", says Michael Calderon, SVP programming and digital media at BTN. They hosat Air Force this weekend before starting Big Ten play at Purdue on September 23.

If you happen to think that Jim Harbaugh has been in the news WAY too much since taking over the University of MI football program, you may want to stop reading.

This is interesting for several reasons.

Harbaugh is among the more fiery, quirky and excitable coaches in football - as evidenced by his use of an exclamation in an otherwise staid press release.

Will we get to watch him watching Judge Judy, though? It's going to help me answer a lot of questions from Mom and Dad, who always want to know what's going on every day. MI is allowing just 15.5 points and 196 yards per game this season on defense, including allowing just 39.5 yards per game on the ground.

Sports will never go stale so it's a great concept and something Netflix hasn't shown any interest in doing, so this sounds like a great way to bridge that gap. If it goes terrible, Amazon will see some new eyes. This has potential to be gold!
