Facebook is determined to make its Watch section a go-to place for video, and that means spending big bucks for original shows.

The social media juggernaut is reportedly paying Lynch millions to star in a new reality TV series called "No Script".

Facebook did not respond to requests for comment on its spending. Facebook is planning to spend up to $1 billion on original shows, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Facebook's Watch was rolled out to U.S. users last month. The company has initially been paying for a handful of shows to attract viewers to the platform.

There are eight episodes of "No Script", each running 10-15 minutes.

Giving Lynch an ability to star in front of a live camera with no script might prove to be the most-genius endeavor Facebook has ever conducted.

Lynch played for the Seahawks from 2010 - 2015. The "various antics" of Lynch will be filmed for each episode. It will begin streaming on Facebook this month, though after an agreed-upon length of time, Facebook will lose the exclusivity rights and B/R will be able to stream the show as well. After that period Bleacher Report owns the content and can use it.

Neither Facebook nor Bleacher Report would tell Reuters how much is being paid for the Lynch show.

"I wouldn't be shocked if that ends up being censored", he said.
