Lacazette joined the Gunners in the summer for a club-record fee of £52m, and the 26-year-old striker has adapted to life in the Premier League quickly, scoring within two minutes of his debut against Leicester City, and scoring again last Saturday against Bournemouth in a 3-0 win.

"I know they lost Nemanja Matic but Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater give them depth". I was sure to join this good club.

Kante has been integral to Chelsea's swift recovery from last month's shock home defeat against Burnley on the opening day of the Premier League.

Kante is expecting big things from his fellow Frenchman, and expects him to be a threat when Arsenal travel to Chelsea this Sunday.

"This is what we need to do, and I don't feel like the player of the year".

But the France worldwide insisted that he still doesn't believe he is the best player in the Premier League, adding: "I think football, when one game passes, we need to forget to keep improving".

"I think maybe in England, you don't know him very well but he has started to score", Kante said.

"We forget that we need to keep improving", he said. It's going to be a good fight, and we need to be ready for Sunday's game but I think we know each other. We need to win. It wasn't expected and I really enjoyed the season that I spent with him. Now it's the beginning [of the season], we can not expect to do the same. We take it game after game and we try to be ready for the next game.

Chelsea legend Lampard wrote in his column for the Evening Standard: "The structure that Conte set up last season with three at the back clearly works as they won the title and they have added a few players in midfield".
