Former Psychiatric Patient Attacks 7 People in France

According to the Daily Mail, the unidentified man, 42, stuck officers before they subdued and arrested him.

A man sparked terror fear in Toulouse after shouting "Allahu Akbar" and assaulting seven people. Three injured police officers were treated by Fire Department paramedics.

Two civilian victims were taken to the Toulouse-Rangueil Medical Center.

The man, who was not armed, is thought to be suffering from mental issues, police sources told France Info.

An eyewitness said, "He just jumped at us, first he attacked my son and then my daughter".

Once detained the man, who is well-known to authorties, is said to have burst into tears, French news site La Depeche reports.

The suspect punched and kicked officers and also targeted four members of the public on Avenue Frederic-Estebe according to reports. French police say the alleged perpetrator was released from a psychiatric hospital in April.
