'Shubh Mangal Savdhaan' crosses Rs. 30 crore in India

Director R.S. Prasanna says that the movie with the same topic of erectile dysfunction will have a sequel too. It will be very interesting. When I was making the Tamil version then I had thought of an idea for the sequel.

Talking about success of film, Prasanna said, "We always think while starting the film, that it will be a biggest hit".

The movie is said to be a remake of his own Tamil film titled "Kalyana Samayal Saadham".

On the sequel of the movie, actor Ayushmann says that the problem in making a sequel is that what would be the problem in part two because in the end, they have sorted out with the solution that he can become "Alpha male" and such movies have a quirky subject they cannot be explored more. "But the problem is, what will be the "problem" of part two since it already got solved in the first one..."

Bhumi Pednekar looked all happy and excited. It's been such fantastic 30 days my life. I am happy the kind of love our film is getting as it was an off-beat, amusing and quirky film.

Shubh Mangal Savdhan is continuing to be the best bet of the week as even at limited screens and shows it is bringing in the best occupancy amongst all the films in the running. It further made Rs. 1.04 crores on Monday, hence the total collection stands at Rs. 32.90 crores at the domestic markets.

Prasanna said he had already discussed an idea with producer Aanand L Rai regarding the film's follow-up.

The on-screen couple of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan surely deserved a success bash and many of their close buddies from film industry accompanied them in their celebration.
