The detailed Vanity Fair interview which saw Meghan Markle address her relationship with Prince Harry hasn't gone down well with many. The Duchess of Cambridge waited five years after she started dating Prince William before she came face to face with the sovereign.

The american edition of the prestigious magazine Vanity Fair has chosen the gorgeous Meghan Markle for the cover of the issue month of October.

In her first comments about her relationship with British royal Prince Harry, Markle opened up to the glossy magazine about her boyfriend, confirming the couple are "in love" and are "very happy". I think as soon as we worked together she realized the power of hair and make-up and that is something that should never be underestimated.

She is also the artist who suggested that Diana lose her signature blue eyeliner look, and go with a more subtle, and natural style. The only thing I'm saying is that there needs to be a certain sense of equality where a woman is not just a plus one, you know. "It's nice to be your own identity, too".

But when Prince Harry does propose, what ring will he give the American beauty? The reference had not gone down well with the former Miss World.

A source close to the royals told the Daily Star: "Harry wants the same sentiment when he proposes to Meghan, so he is working with the jewellers to design something incredible". The source further shared, "Naturally Meghan will be present for some of the games and you'll no doubt see them together in the stands, but she won't be taking part in any of the engagements in an official capacity". The source explained that Markle would be back in Toronto filming the second half of Suits season 7 and unable to celebrate on the actual day of his birthday because of it.
