This is thanks to the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine under its hood.

The 2019 Land Rover Discovery SVX will boast 518 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque.

The specifications are yet to be provided in detail although Land Rover just enough information to wow and excite customers and critics with their upcoming release.

Tesla has made its name in electric cars, and realizing that electric cars are going to be the future of automobiles, conventional auto makers such as BMW, Ford, and Jaguar Land Rover, who had electric cars in their future to do list, which was not anytime sooner, have sped up their plans, in a bid to challenge the likes of Tesla. Naturally, the regular Discovery isn't getting this powerplant - so the SVX is both the most capable Disco and at the same time the most powerful.

There are also electronic diff locks front and rear and a re-tuned version of Land Rover's Terrain Response 2 system - in short, it'd be tricky to get this Landy stuck. The SVX also has larger 815mm diameter 275/55 R20 Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tyres on forged aluminium alloy wheel, and the tyres' increased side-wall height reduces contact pressure and improves performance on soft surfaces while its specially-designed tread pattern improves grip in muddy conditions. And the SVX shows off all of LR's traditional traits - coming with increased ground clearance and long-travel dampers, for way better approach, departure, and breakover angles.

SVO designers are embedded within the Land Rover team and have worked with our engineers to unleash their own passion for adventure to create another truly desirable and versatile vehicle in the Land Rover line-up.

The Land Rover Discovery SVX will be hand built by Land Rover's SVO division at their production facility and production will commence in 2018, with Australian deliveries commencing later on in 2018. Production begins next year.
