We'll have handsome late summer weather through Wednesday with warm days, low humidity and comfortably cool nights.

Saturday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 87, the weather service said. Tuesday will have moderating temperatures, with highs generally in the 80s.

An area of low pressure is spinning off the coast of central California, drawing cooler, moist air inland, the weather service says in its forecast discussion.

Irma's remnants are expected to bring only showers or thunderstorms to CT.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 82. South wind around 6 miles per hour.

Friday night, the low will be around 71 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

In Madison on Tuesday, look for sunny skies, a high near 78 and calm wind becoming east winds around 5 miles per hour.

Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Since the forecast winds are expected to be below tropical storm force, have cancelled the tropical storm warnings and replaced with a wind advisory in effect from 3 PM this afternoon through early Tuesday morning. Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. North wind 3 to 7 miles per hour.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 79. North northwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Wednesday night - A 20 percent chance of showers after 11pm.

Wednesday night brings a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers in Canton, Gouverneur, Ogdensburg and Potsdam with temperatures in the high 50s.

Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
