The Watch 2 Sports is priced at Rs 20,999.

Huawei is launching three variants of its Watch 2 lineup in India. The smartwatch comes in two variants Sports and Classic where Sports is available in Bluetooth/4G connectivity options and classic is only available in Bluetooth option. It also features the latest smart living applications and the new Android Wear 2.0 operating system (OS) which is compatible with both Android and iOS.

All the three variants are available for purchase from Amazon starting from today.

Other specifications of the smartwatch include Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor, Android Wear 2.0, 768MB of RAM, and 4GB internal storage. The Watch 2 features some presets such as "Fat burning run" and "Cardio run". The functionality of watches has grown leaps and bounds, and thus we see growing interest in market for time pieces that do much more than just tell time. While its predecessor was universally loved among the Android Wear smartwatches, Watch 2 has underwhelmed the reviewers. "With customer and market insights, the newly launched "WATCH 2" is focused on creating a standalone experience for consumers".

The highlight of the watch is its ability to connect with the smartphone and allow the users to make and receive phone calls, and send messages without needing to carry a phone with them. Moreover, the connectivity option includes 4G LTE with voice calling (4G version), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, and NFC. People can click on the crown of the watch to open the workout app. As expected, the device also features a heart-rate sensor. It takes a 4G VoLTE Nano-SIM card. It can suggest users to accelerate or decelerate their run based of calculated data set.

The wearables sport a 1.2-inch circular colour display with touch control. It also measures users' Resting Heart Rate, which is recorded in the activity monitor app.

Apart from this, the watch also serves as a fitness device using its multiple sensors which collect the comprehensive data on user activity, including distance, speed, steps, heart rate, heart rate range, calories, gait, route and more. Unlike the Apple Watch Series 3 that will debut in the country, Huawei Watch 2 does come with built-in cellular connectivity.

Moreover, the Watch 2 Classic rocks a stainless steel bezel and leather straps. It is backed by a 420mAh battery.
