Toure was missing from the matchday squad for the 5-0 mauling of Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

Toure has endured a hard relationship with Guardiola since the Spaniard took charge at the Etihad at the start of last season.

Last season, Manchester City was not easily out of the group round of the Champions League, but in the first stage of the playoffs, Monaco lost.

The strip, described on City's website as a "camo green third kit", could be worn by Pep Guardiola's side for their Champions League trip to Feyenoord on Wednesday.

He said: "When Liverpool went to 10 men, every opportunity was punished, but you can see that City can also struggle against smaller teams if they are defensively good. It is between him and me, it's a sporting decision".

Obviously, Jorgensen's absence is a blow for the Dutch outfit but they did notch 56 home goals in the Eredivisie last season and in Boetius and Steven Burghuis they boast two wide players capable of causing City problems at the back.

Asked whether Toure would play soon, Guardiola said: "Hopefully - it depends on the player".

The City goalkeeper left the field on a stretcher at the weekend after being caught in the face by a high boot from Sadio Mane, a challenge that saw the Liverpool forward sent off.

City defender John Stones praised the keeper's bravery, saying: "Ederson has got on with it straight away".

Captain Vincent Kompany will miss out for City once more due to his latest calf injury setback.

"He just wants to be around the team and be in that environment. Of course that can happen but we will see".

The Brazilian goalkeeper has been training in a scrum cap and Guardiola will leave it until tomorrow to decide if to start with him or not.

"It's going to be tough to stay standing against this club (Manchester City)", Berghuis told daily tabloid De Telegraaf.
